Statement
On Monday, July 6 Police of the Republic of Armenia addressed to the participants of the assembly held on Baghramyan avenue, making an announcement through a loudspeaker, the written text of which was handed over to the assembly participants.
In particular, Police were demanding from the actual organizers and participants of the assembly to remove the barricades made with garbage cans, thus, ceasing about 2 weeks' blockage of Baghramyan avenue. Police announced a specific deadline for satisfying the above-mentioned demand, namely 12:30 p.m.
And only after the legitimate demand of police officers was once again defied, Police adopted a decision to immediately restore the traffic along Baghramyan avenue which has so far been disrupted: the barricades were dismantled, and the avenue was cleaned by employees of «Sanitek» company.
At present the movement of vehicles along Baghramyan avenue is entirely restored.
During police actions 46 people were taken to police territorial divisions, but they were all released after a short while.
It is noteworthy, that no special measures were applied towards the assembly participants by Police.
