STATEMENT OF POLICE OF THE REPUBLIC OF ARMENIA

Police continues to receive information about specific intentions to incite clashes with police officers during the assemblies being held on these days.
Some of the assembly organizers are carring out active work among their young supporters, encouraging them to put up tents and commit group actions aimed to violate the public order, concealing those actions behind civil disobedience, and thereby provoking the police to use force against the assembly participants.
Such an unlawful line of actions is aimed to give publicity to the assembly being held and to obscure the legitimacy of Police actions.
Police of the Republic of Armenia would hereby like to warn that any attempt to destabilize the situation in public places will be foiled by аdequate police actions dictated by the concrete situation, and those responsible for organizing and committing offenses will be subjected to statutory liability.
