The Special Forces of the Criminal Police of RA participate in military exercises in Kyrgyzstan and Jordan

The special forces department is one of the basic units of the General Department of Criminal Police of the RA Police. Countering terrorism, neutralizing armed formations, ensuring the safety of individuals, protecting important facilities, etc. ̶ these are the main functions performed by employees of the Special Forces Administration. One of their most important missions is to participate in the peacekeeping activities of the CSTO special forces, as well as in international special events to combat terrorism, drug trafficking and various manifestations of crime.
A regular event was held from 2 to 5 August in the Kyrgyz Republic. The CSTO rapid response forces took part in the CSTO special tactical exercises "COBALT-2022". The exercise was attended by the Deputy Chief of Police of Armenia, Police Colonel Kamo Tsutsulyan. Employees of the SFD of the Criminal Police took an active part in the development of measures to be implemented and were involved in the implementation of the practical stage. Together with the special forces of the Ministries of Internal Affairs of Belarus and Kyrgyzstan, operations were carried out to liberate settlements occupied by armed groups and free hostages. Employees of the SFD were awarded awards. Kamo Tsutsulyan, in turn, presented awards to a group of participants in the exercises. During the event, representatives of the Armenian police met with the leadership of the CSTO and discussed issues of mutual interest.
The next one took place from August 2 to 5 in the Republic of Kyrgyzstan. "COBALT-2022" tactical military exercise was attended by CSTO operative response forces. Deputy Chief of Police of Armenia, Police Colonel Kamo Tsutsulyan was present at the exercise. The HNV officers of the criminal police took an active part in the development of the measures to be implemented and were involved in the implementation of the practical phase. Together with the special units of the Ministries of Internal Affairs of Belarus and Kyrgyzstan, operations were carried out to liberate settlements occupied by armed groups and release hostages. HNV employees were awarded awards. Kamo Tsutsulyan, in his turn, presented awards to a group of participants of the military exercise. Within the framework of the event, representatives of the Armenian police had meetings with the CSTO leadership and discussed issues of mutual interest.
Prior to that, from June 2 to 10, officers of the Special Forced Deartment of Criminal Police traveled to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to participate in the 12th annual Special Forces Championship, which was unprecedented in its scope and variety of competitions. 41 teams of special forces from 23 countries took part in the tournament.
The tasks given during the tournament aimed to test both the professional training of the special forces, as well as the psychological and volitional qualities. The HNV officers of the Criminal Police of Armenia demonstrated high training and professional qualities.
It should be noted that before leaving for Jordan and Kyrgyzstan, SFD officers, in cooperation with the combat and physical training department of the police, had conducted various training exercises aimed at improving their professional skills.
