On April 10, Head of the RA Police Headquarters Armen Ghukasyan received Head of Europe/Central Asia office of the US Department of State Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs Ms. Judith Campbell, INL Director Michael Shulman, INL Senior Law Enforcement Adviser to Armenia Audie Holloway and International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Program Coordinator of the US Department of State Maritsa Hovhannisyan.
Welcoming the guests, Armen Ghukasyan underscored the importance and effectiveness of the well-established cooperation, as well as presented some of its results.
The guests expressed their gratitude for the warm welcome and asked questions about the police activities. They talked about issues related to the mobile patrol service to be set up in the capital, the creation of a new operations center and assistance in their creation.
The guests also touched upon police personnel policy, public confidence in the police and the involvement of women in policing.
Further directions of cooperation were outlined and other issues of mutual interest were discussed during the meeting.
