Wanted Iraqi citizen surrenders himself to Armenian police
As a result of measures and explanatory work carried out by the criminal investigation officers of the Kanaker-Zeytun division of the RA Police as part of the Cannabis-Poppy 2019 preventive operation, 41-year-old citizen of the Republic of Iraq Saad K. surrendered himself to the Kanaker-Zeytun division of the RA Police on August 5 at 11.45. The foreigner had been wanted by Iraqi law enforcement agencies on charges under Article 315 of the Iraqi Criminal Code (Assignment) since June 2, 2017.
Note: Everyone charged with a criminal offence shall be presumed innocent until proven guilty in a manner prescribed by the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia and found guilty by a court decision that has entered into legal force.
