Georgian citizen detained at Armenian checkpoint in connection with fraud committed in Russia
On Monday, September 2, at 9.40 pm 65-year-old citizen of Georgia Teymuraz G. was detained at Bagratashen checkpoint and taken to Bagratashen subdivision of Police of the Republic of Armenia. The foreigner had been wanted by the Department of ministry of internal affairs of the Russian Federation on Krasnodar territory on charges of part 4 of article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation Federation (Fraud) since November 14, 2017.
Note: Everyone charged with a criminal offence shall be presumed innocent until proven guilty in a manner prescribed by the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia and found guilty by a court decision that has entered into legal force.
