Saint Petersburg hosts the 15th session of the CSTO member states' Coordination Council of the competent bodies on countering illegal drug trafficking

On Wednesday November 26, 2014, First Deputy Head of the RA Police, Police Lieutenant General Hunan Poghosyan and First Deputy Head of the General Department on Combating Organized Crime of the RA Police, Police Colonel Vardan Badasyan partook in the 15-th session of the CSTO member states' Coordination Council of the competent bodies on countering illegal drug trafficking which took place in Saint Petersburg, Russia.  
Afghanistan's narcotics trade risks were at stake. The meeting participants highlighted that CSTO member states should carry out joint measures to combat this challenge.
In his statement Hunan Poghosyan spoke about the results of the activities of the RA Police in the relevant sphere, attaching importance to the cooperation within the framework of the CSTO.
The meeting participants singled out those spheres of activity which will be of the highest priority in 2015. 
At the end of the session the meeting partcipants adopted a joint address to the legislative bodies of the CSTO. The address referred to those main issues the resolution of which requires ensuring proper opportunities for taking joint actions.
