А foreigner wanted by German law enforcement agencies detained at "Bagratashen"checkpoint

On February 16, at 8.30 p.m. citizen of the Republic of Turkey, 53-year-old Faruk S., was detained at “Bagratashen” checkpoint and taken to Bagratashen police unit of the RA Police. The detainee had been wanted by the NCB Interpol in the Federal Republic of Germany on charges under articles 259, 260 and 53 of the German Criminal Code since July 12, 2012.

Note: Everyone charged with a criminal offence shall be presumed innocent until proven guilty in a manner prescribed by the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia and found guilty by a court decision that has entered into legal force.
