Armenian police officers detain man wanted by Russian law enforcement agencies
Thanks to the operational intelligence measures taken by officers from Ararat Marz Department and Artashat division of Police of the Republic of Armenia, previously convicted Yasha Nikolayev, DOB 1969, was detained in Armenia's Verin Dvin village.
The man had been wanted by Department of the Russian MIA for Krimsky District charged under the Russian Criminal Code, article 166, part 1 /unlawful occupancy of a car or any other vehicle without the purpose of stealing/ since December 30, 2015.
The initiator of the intelligence has been notified of Yasha Nikolayev's detection.
Note: Everyone charged with a criminal offence shall be presumed innocent until proven guilty in a manner prescribed by the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia and found guilty by a court decision that has entered into legal force.
