Criminal situation in the Republic of Armenia (May 7-8)
According to the operations reports of Police of the Republic of Armenia, 33 cases of crime were detected by officers of various police subdivisions in the territory of the republic from May 7 to May 8.
In particular, 12 cases of infliction of bodily injuries, 9 cases of theft of personal property, 2 cases of swindling, 2 cases of abuse of official power, 1 case of rape or attempted rape, 1 case of squandeirng or embezzlement, 1 case of counterfeiting, 1 case of detection of narcotics, and 1 case of use of violence against a representative of authority.
From earlier committed crimes 1 case of attempted murder and 1 case of theft of personal property have been solved, 2 cases of voluntary surrender of arms and ammunition have been been registered.
Over the past 1 day, 14 road traffic accidents have been registered in the republic: 16 people got bodily injuries of varying levels of gravity.
Note: Everyone charged with a criminal offence shall be presumed innocent until proven guilty in a manner prescribed by the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia and found guilty by a court decision that has entered into legal force.
