Criminal situation in the Republic of Armenia (January 1-8)
According to the operations reports of Police of the Republic of Armenia, 63 out of 69 cases of infliction of bodily injuries registered in the territory of the Republic from January 1 to January 8, as well as 33 cases of theft, 9 cases of swindling, 3 cases of kidnapping, 3 cases of illegal felling of trees, 1 case of bribery and 1 case of illegal felling of trees have been solved, 2 cases of detection of narcotics have been registered.
From earlier committed crimes 8 cases of theft, 1 case of infliction of bodily injuries and 1 case of car theft has been solved.
Over the past 8 days, 61 road traffic accidents have been registered in the Republic: 9 persons died, 98 people got bodily injuries of varying levels of gravity.
Note: Everyone charged with a criminal offence shall be presumed innocent until proven guilty in a manner prescribed by the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia and found guilty by a court decision that has entered into legal force.
