Criminal situation in the Republic of Armenia (January 1-8)

According to the operations reports of Police of the Republic of Armenia, 153 cases of crime were detected by officers of various police subdivisions in the territory of the republic from January 1 to 8.
In particular, 55 cases of infliction of bodily injuries, 23 cases of battery, 21 cases of theft of personal property, 14 cases of fraud, 6 cases of kidnapping and abuse of official authority, 4 cases of death threats, 3 cases of vehicle theft and intentional destruction of property, 2 cases of rape or attempts of rape and hooliganism, 1 case of murder, detection of drugs, illegal felling of trees, counterfeiting, seizure of weapons and ammunition, use of violence against a representative of authority, robbery, unlawful deprivation of liberty, the threat of destruction of property, bribery, failure to fulfill or improper fulfillment of their professional duties to provide medical services or medical assistance and malicious evasion of a judicial act, sexual intercourse and other sexual activities with a person under the age of sixteen.
2 missing persons and 12 wanted people have been detected, 8 others surrendered themselves to the Police.
From earlier committed crimes 5 cases of burglary, 2 cases of infliction of bodily injuries, 2 cases of robbery, 1 case of murder, theft of personal property and road traffic accident have been solved.
Over the past 7 days, 95 accidents have been registered in the republic: 8 persons died, 162 people received bodily injuries of different levels of severity.
