Criminal situation in the Republic of Armenia (January 11-14)
According to the operations reports of Police of the Republic of Armenia, 131 cases of crime were detected by officers of various police subdivisions in the territory of the republic from January 11 to 14.
In particular, 23 cases of possession of property obtained by crime, 21 cases of theft of personal property, 20 cases of infliction of bodily injuries, 18 cases of fraud, 7 cases of attempt of illegal payment, 6 cases of battery, 4 cases of intentional destruction of property and abuse of official authority, 3 cases of burglary and detection of narcotics, 2 cases of squandering or embezzlement, illegal felling of trees, hooliganism, death threats, 1 case of rape or attempted rape, kidnapping, theft of state or public property, car theft, illegal business or false business, counterfeiting, cybercrime, failure to fulfill or improper fulfillment of their professional duties to provide medical services or medical assistance, infliction of damage to property through fraud or breach of trust and violation of the inviolability of the home.
12 wanted people have been detected, 6 others surrendered themselves to the Police, 2 missing persons have been found.
From earlier committed crimes 9 cases of theft of personal property and 1 case of fraud have been solved.
Over the past 3 days, 30 accidents have been registered in the republic: 3 persons died, 38 people received bodily injuries of different levels of severity.
Note: Everyone charged with a criminal offence shall be presumed innocent until proven guilty in a manner prescribed by the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia and found guilty by a court decision that has entered into legal force.
