Criminal situation in the Republic of Armenia (January 16-17)
According to the operations reports of Police of the Republic of Armenia, 46 cases of crime were detected by officers of various police subdivisions in the territory of the republic from January 16 to 17.
In particular, 8 cases of fraud, 7 cases of Infliction of bodily injuries and forgery of documents, 4 cases of theft of personal property, 3 cases of misappropriation or embezzlement and iIllegal harvesting of aquatic flora, 2 cases of detection of drugs and possession of property obtained by crime, 1 case of rape or attempted rape, kidnapping, burglary, counterfeiting, battery, false denunciation, destruction of cultural and historical monuments, failure to fulfill or improper fulfillment of their professional duties to provide medical services or medical assistance, sexual assault against a minor.
1 wanted person has been detected, 2 others surrendered themselves to the Police, 1 missing person has been found.
From earlier committed crimes 2 cases of robbery, 1 case of infliction of bodily injuries, theft of personal property and false report of an act of terrorism have been solved.
Over the past 1 day, 10 accidents have been registered in the republic: 15 people received bodily injuries of different levels of severity.
Note: Everyone charged with a criminal offence shall be presumed innocent until proven guilty in a manner prescribed by the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia and found guilty by a court decision that has entered into legal force.
