Crime news report for the period from 14 to 17 August
According to the operations reports of Police of the Republic of Armenia, 130 cases of crime were detected by officers of various police subdivisions in the territory of the republic from August 14 to August 17, 7 of which were earlier committed crimes.
In particular, 25 cases of causing bodily harm, 21 cases of theft of personal property, 13 cases of detecting narcotic drugs, 11 cases of fraud, 8 cases of domestic violence, 5 cases of deliberate damage to property, abuse of office and threats of murder, 4 cases of squandering or embezzlement, 3 cases of illegal cultivation prohibited narcotic drugs, 2 cases of kidnapping and battery, 1 case of rape or attempted rape, banditry, robbery, theft of state and public property, burglary, extortion, hooliganism, seizure of weapons and ammunition, illegal felling of trees, official forgery or official negligence, detection of cold steel, sexual intercourse with a minor, unlawful separation of a child from a parent, failure to comply with a judicial act, illegal deprivation of liberty, illegal payment of a civil servant who is not an official, possession of property obtained by crime, forgery of documents and violation of the rules for the protection and use of subsoil.
2 missing persons have been located, 12 wanted persons have been detected, 4 others turned themselves in to the Police.
1 case of voluntary surrender of arms and ammunition has been registered.
From earlier committed crimes 3 cases of theft of personal property, 2 cases of burglary, 1 case of banditry and robbery have been solved.
Over the past 3 days, 38 accidents have been registered in the Republic: 1 person died, 56 people received bodily injuries of different levels of gravity.
Note: Everyone charged with a criminal offence shall be presumed innocent until proven guilty in a manner prescribed by the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia and found guilty by a court decision that has entered into legal force.
