Crime news report for the period from 17 to 22 September
According to the operations reports of Police of the Republic of Armenia, 195 cases of crime have been detected by officers of various police subdivisions in the territory of the republic from September 17 to September 22, 30 of which were earlier committed crimes.
In particular, 55 cases of personal theft, 28 cases of causing bodily harm, 19 cases of fraud, 11 cases of drug detection, 10 cases of domestic violence, 6 cases of battery, 4 cases of seizure of weapons and ammunition, 3 cases of deliberate damage to property and illegal felling of trees, 2 cases of burglary, squandering or embezzlement, hooliganism, threats of murder, detection of cold weapons and infliction of grievous bodily harm, 1 case of rape or attempted rape, kidnapping, robbery, tax evasion, counterfeiting, car theft, poaching, abuse of office, use of violence against a representative of authorities, drug trafficking, illegal cultivation of herbs prohibited for processing, containing narcotic, psychotropic or toxic substances, abuse of office, violation of labor protection rules, causing bodily harm by negligence.
1 wanted person has been located, 13 wanted persons have been detained, 15 others turned themselves in to the Police.
4 cases of voluntary surrender of arms and ammunition have been registered.
From earlier committed crimes 14 cases of fraud, 11 cases of personal theft, 2 cases of robbery, 1 case of case causing bodily injuries, car theft and a running-down accident have been detected.
Over the past 5 days, 79 accidents have been registered in the Republic: 2 persons died, 118 people received bodily injuries of different levels of gravity.
Note: Everyone charged with a criminal offence shall be presumed innocent until proven guilty in a manner prescribed by the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia and found guilty by a court decision that has entered into legal force.
