The criminal situation in the Republic of Armenia (March 22-25)
According to the operations reports of Police of the Republic of Armenia, 147 cases of crime were detected by officers of various police subdivisions in the territory of the republic from March 22 to March 25.
In particular, 32 cases of personal theft, 26 cases of infliction of bodily harm, 18 cases of fraud, 9 cases of drug detection, 8 cases of threats of murder and battery, 7 cases of abuse of office, 4 cases of abduction and hooliganism, 3 cases of intentional destruction of property, tax evasion, illegal felling of trees and arbitrariness, 2 cases of robbery, burglary and misappropriation or embezzlement, 1 case of attempted murder, cybercrime, official forgery or official negligence, use of violence against a representative of authority, forgery of documents, dispute containing elements of hooliganism, drug smuggling and sexual violence.
7 wanted persons have been detected, 2 others turned themselves in to the Police, 2 missing people have been found, 12 cases of voluntary surrender of arms and ammunition have been registered.
From earlier committed crimes 13 cases of personal theft, 5 cases of burglary, 3 cases of infliction of bodily harm and illegal felling of trees, 1 case of intentional damage to property, car theft and fraud have been solved.
Over the past 3 days, 37 accidents have been registered in the Republic: 3 persons died, 47 people received bodily injuries of different levels of severity.
Note: Everyone charged with a criminal offence shall be presumed innocent until proven guilty in a manner prescribed by the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia and found guilty by a court decision that has entered into legal force.
