Man wanted by French law enforcement bodies for committing grave crimes detained at Yerevan's «Zvartnots» airport

On Friday, April 1 at 9 a.m. Sahak V., DOB 1968, was detained at Yerevan's "Zvartnots" international airport following the special mesures taken by officers from the General Department of Criminal Intelligence along with their colleagues from "Zzvarnots" airport line division of the RA police. The man had been wanted under the Criminal code of the French Republic, charged under articles 224-5-2, 224-4 /arrest, abduction, detention or imprisonment of a person illegally confined as a hostage either to prepare or facilitate the commission of a felony or a misdemeanor, or to assist in the escape of or to ensure the impunity of the perpetrator or the accomplice to a felony or a misdemeanor, or to secure the enforcement of an order or a condition, in particular the payment of a ransom  carried out in an organized gang/ and articles 224-9, 222-12, 222-44, 222-45, 222-47 /acts of violence causing a total incapacity to work for more than eight days/ and articles 450-1, 450-3, 450-5 /assistance to an organized gang in crime preparation/.
Sahak V. is arrested and has been taken to the place of arrest of the Yerevan City Department of Police of the Republic of Armenia.
