2 murders in Armavir province: husbands kill their wives

At 23:50 on February 15 Armavir police division received a report from hospital informing that  Artur S., DOB 1976, was hospitalized with the diagnosis of “confused wound of the right parietotemporal region of the head, subcutaneous hematoma,  incised wounds of the neck, Multiple incised wounds  of the upper and lower extremities”, shortly after that Artur S’s wife - Araksya Martirosyan, DOB 1971, was taken to hospital, where she was diagnosed with “grave craniocerebral injury, moribund state”. Araksya Martirosyan deceased in hospital, not regaining consciousness.
Arriving at the scene police operatives established, that about 23:00 on the same day, under unknown circumstances,  Artur S. caused wounds to his wife’s head with a stone, cut her throat with a razor and then cut his own neck, upper and lower extremeties to committed a suicide at the  tomb of Artur S’s brother in Armavir village cemetery.
According to the doctor, Artur S. was in no condition to testify in his own right.
The bloody razor, Artur S's shoes and A. Martirosyan's slippers were found at the crime scene.
Preliminary investigation is underway.

At 12:30 on February 16 previously convicted Armenian citizen Grisha M., DOB 1977, handed himself in at Metsamor police division. The man pleaded guilty to murdering his wife Zhenya Harutyunyan, DOB 1971, at 23:00 the day before. Grisha M. confessed to beating his wife to death with a  metal  rod while under influence of alcohol.
Arriving at the scene in Mayisyan village, police operatives found Zhenya Harutyunyan's body with traces of multiple wounds.
As a result of the observation of the crime scene 2 7.62 mm calibre cartridges were found.
Grisha M. is arrested.
Preliminary investigation is underway.
