Works on placing speedometers on metropolitan streets and highways of interstate significance are underway
Traffic Police inform that works on placing speedometers controlling road traffic and fixing traffic rule violations on metropolitan streets and highways of interstate significance are underway. Particularly, from November 12, 2013, speedometers which have recently been placed on the following sections will be exploited:
1. 130 km of M-1 «Yerevan-Gyumri-Georgian border” highway of interstate significance, (administrative territory of Mayisyan village) – 1 double faced speedometer, the maximum allowed traffic speed on this road section is 60 km/h;
2. 132 km of M-1 «Yerevan-Gyumri-Georgian border” highway of interstate significance, (administrative territory of Qeti village) – 1 double faced speedometer, the maximum allowed traffic speed on this road section is 60 km/h;
3. 139 km of M-1 «Yerevan-Gyumri-Georgian border” highway of interstate significance, (administrative territory of Marmarashen) – 1 double faced speedometer, the maximum allowed traffic speed on this road section is 60 km/h;
4. Shirak province, Gyumri city, Tbilisyan highway - 1 double faced speedometer, the maximum allowed traffic speed on this road section is 60 km/h;
5. 19.1 km of R-4 «Yerevan-Yeghvard-Aragyugh-Hrtavan-M-3” highway of republican significance, (Kotayq province, Yeghvard town, Yerevanyan highway) – 2 speedometers, the maximum allowed traffic speed on this road section is 60 km/h;
Traffic Police once more call on the drivers to keep the Traffic rules.
