Police self-purification process is underway

13.12.2012 21:33 Bribery
There is no place for law-breakers in the system, as well as for unabiding persons, defaming the honor and dignity of the policeman and his uniform – here is the policy guideline of the RA Police leadership.
On December 12 a resident of Ashtarak town gave a report at the Department of Inner security of the RA police that on the same day from dental clinic he had been brought to the 3-rd subdivision of the division of Criminal investigation of the Yerevan city Department of the RA police, on suspicion of use of drags. The police officers made a 3000 $ payment demand not to elicit the fact of having used drags and not to make him criminally liable.  But the citizen didn't agree with it.
Due to the undertaken measures, on suspicion of taking a bribe the head of the subdivision Vaghinak Vardanyan and detective Gevorg Gevorgyan were brought to the Department of inner security of the RA police. The doctor of the dental clinic Gevorg Martirosyan was also brought to police, and the senior detective Eduard Zaqaryan was on call.
The prepared materials were sent to the Special investigation service.
