Murder in Nor Aresh

At 20:35 the Operational Managment Centre of Yerevan City Department of Police of the Republic of Armenia  received a report from “911” service on a stabbed man’s conveyance to “Erebuni” medical centre. The man was taken to the centre from one of the houses located on Line 2, 34-th street, Nor Aresh quarter.
At 20:40 Police received a report from the abovementioned medical centre on a 50-year-old man’s conveyance to the centre, who was diagnosed with “stab and cut wounds to the left chest”.  
The Police operatives managed to establish that the hospitalized man was Armenian citizen Yeghiya Apanyan, DOB 1957.
At 23:00 officers of Yerevan city Department and Erebuni division of Police of the Republic of Armenia detained Armen M., who pleaded guilty at Erebuni police division. The murderer told that about 20:00, being under the influence of alcohol, he had a conflict with Y. Apanyan, an old friend of him, and inflicting on him several stab wounds with a kitchen knife, fled the scene.
The knife - crime instrument  - was detected, seized and sent to examination.
Police initiated a criminal case under article 104, section 1 of the Criminal code of the Republic of Armenia.
Armen M. is arrested.
Prelliminary investigation is underway.
