After 19 years on the run, man detained by Armenian Police for attempted murder in Georgia
As a result of the operational-search measures carried out by the officers of the General Department of Criminal Police, on Tuesday, November 2, 43-year-old Artem K. was detected on Moldovakan Street, Yerevan, and from there taken to the General Department of Criminal Police. The man had been wanted by the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs on charges under Article 19-109 of the Criminal Code of Georgia (Attempted murder) since October 4, 2002.
Custody has been selected as a measure of restraint.
Note: Everyone charged with a criminal offence shall be presumed innocent until proven guilty in a manner prescribed by the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia and found guilty by a court decision that has entered into legal force.
