After 15 years on the run man wanted by Russian law enforcement bodies turns himself in to the Armenian Police
Thanks to the explanatory work carried out by officers from the General Department of Criminal Intelligence of Police of the Republic of Armenia, Artyom K., DOB 1967, turned himself in at the GDCI. The man had been wanted by law enforcement bodies of Astrakhan oblast, Russia charged under the Russian Criminal Code, article 159, part 2 /swindling/ since July 29, 2001.
Note: Everyone charged with a criminal offence shall be presumed innocent until proven guilty in a manner prescribed by the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia and found guilty by a court decision that has entered into legal force.
