Criminal situation in the Republic of Armenia (February 4-5)
According to the operations reports of Police of the Republic of Armenia, 53 cases of crime were detected by officers of various police subdivisions in the territory of the republic from February 4 to February 5.
In particular, 14 cases of fraud, 12 cases of theft of personal property, 8 cases of infliction of bodily injuries, 4 cases of abuse of official authority and squandering or embezzlement, 3 cases of false crime reporting, 2 cases of drug detection, 1 case of smuggling, bribery, violation of the electoral right, arbitrariness and battery.
2 wanted persons have been detected, 3 others surrendered themselves to the Police, 1 missing person has been found. 4 cases of voluntary surrender of arms and ammunition have been registered.
From earlier committed crimes 2 cases of theft of personal property, 1 case of infliction of bodily injuries and 1 case of burglary have been solved.
Over the past 1 day, 9 accidents have been registered in the republic: 1 person died, 11 people received bodily injuries of different levels of severity.
Note: Everyone charged with a criminal offence shall be presumed innocent until proven guilty in a manner prescribed by the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia and found guilty by a court decision that has entered into legal force.
