Crime news report for the period from 9 to 10 December
According to the operations reports of Police of the Republic of Armenia, 72 cases of crime have been detected by officers of various police subdivisions in the territory of the republic from 9 to 10 December, 3 of which were earlier committed crimes.
In particular, 28 cases of personal theft, 7 cases of causing bodily harm, 7 cases of fraud, 5 cases of domestic violence and drug detection, 3 cases of abuse of office, 2 cases of tax evasion and hooliganism, 1 case of seizure of weapons and ammunition, violation of the right of suffrage, driving a vehicle by a person who is deprived of the right to drive a vehicle, false reporting of an act of terrorism, failure to perform or improper performance of professional duties by medical and support personnel, threats of murder, battery and receiving unlawful remuneration by a public servant not considered as an official.
7 wanted persons have been detained, 3 others turned themselves in to the Police.
2 cases of voluntary surrender of arms and ammunition have been registered.
From earlier committed crimes, 4 cases of personal theft have been detected.
Over the past 1 day, 19 accidents have been registered in the Republic: 1 person died, 23 people received bodily injuries of different levels of gravity.
Note: Everyone charged with a criminal offence shall be presumed innocent until proven guilty in a manner prescribed by the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia and found guilty by a court decision that has entered into legal force.
