The criminal situation in the Republic of Armenia (March 20-21)
According to the operations reports of Police of the Republic of Armenia, 66 cases of crime were detected by officers of various police subdivisions in the territory of the republic from March 20 to March 21.
In particular, 15 cases of personal theft, 9 cases of fraud, 6 cases of infliction of bodily harm, 5 cases of misappropriation or embezzlement and detection of drugs, 3 cases of battery, 2 cases of abduction, extortion, illegal felling of trees, unauthorized or illegal use of a trademark and smuggling of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursors, 1 case of rape or attempted rape, robbery, llegal or false entrepreneurial activity, hooliganism, arbitrariness, false about denunciation, infliction of damage to property by deception or abuse of trust, sexual intercourse with a person under 16 years of age, threats of murder, distribution of pornographic materials and the sale and purchase of foreign currency without a license.
2 wanted persons have been detected, 2 others turned themselves in to the Police, 1 missing person has been found, 4 cases of voluntary surrender of arms and ammunition have been registered.
From earlier committed crimes 7 cases of personal theft and 1 case of cybercrime have been solved.
Over the past 1 day, 3 accidents have been registered in the Republic: 4 people received bodily injuries of different levels of severity.
Note: Everyone charged with a criminal offence shall be presumed innocent until proven guilty in a manner prescribed by the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia and found guilty by a court decision that has entered into legal force.
