Crime news report for the period from 12 to 15 February
According to the operations reports of Police of the Republic of Armenia, 175 cases of crime have been detected by officers of various police subdivisions in the territory of the republic from February 12 to February 15, 10 of which were earlier committed crimes.
In particular, 62 cases of personal theft, 17 cases of causing bodily harm, 12 cases of fraud, 10 cases of domestic violence, 9 cases of detection of narcotic drugs, 8 cases of burglary, 5 cases of seizure of weapons and ammunition, 4 cases of squandering or embezzlement, intentional damage to property, abuse of official powers and violations of the rules for the delivery of narcotic drugs, 3 cases of battery and threats of murder, 2 cases of robbery, theft of state or public property, illegal felling of trees, illegal crossing of the state border, 1 case of kidnapping, hooliganism, violence against a representative of authority, facilitating prostitution, purchase of a child for the purpose of custody of him or sale of a child in order to transfer him to the person who took custody of the child, official forgery, illegal collection, storage, use or dissemination of information about private or family life, sexual intercourse with a person under 16 years of age, the illegal sale of narcotic drugs, the destruction or damage of cultural and historical monuments, willful failure to comply with a decision on urgent intervention or a decision on protection.
1 missing person has been located, 10 wanted persons have been detained, 4 others turned themselves in to the Police.
7 cases of voluntary surrender of arms and ammunition have been registered.
From earlier committed crimes, 5 cases of personal theft, 3 cases of burglary, 1 case of causing bodily injuries and intentional damage to property have been detected.
Over the past 3 days, 36 accidents have been registered in the Republic: 3 persons died, 47 people received bodily injuries of different levels of gravity.
Note: Everyone charged with a criminal offence shall be presumed innocent until proven guilty in a manner prescribed by the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia and found guilty by a court decision that has entered into legal force.
