Criminal situation in the Republic of Armenia (January 21-22)
According to the operations reports of Police of the Republic of Armenia, 44 cases of crime were detected by officers of various police subdivisions in the territory of the republic from January 21 to 22.
In particular, 19 cases of theft of personal property, 5 cases of infliction of bodily injuries, 4 cases of fraud, 3 cases of violation of the electoral right and failure to fulfill or improper fulfillment of their professional duties to provide medical services or medical assistance, 2 cases of hooliganism, 1 case of kidnapping, burglary, squandering or embezzlement, tax evasion, counterfeiting, bribery, arbitrariness and illegal actions in bankruptcy.
5 wanted person have been detected, another one surrendered himself to the Police. 1 missing person has been found, 1 case of voluntary surrender of arms and ammunition has been registered.
From earlier committed crimes 4 cases of theft of personal property have been solved.
Over the past 1 day, 4 accidents have been registered in the republic: 2 persons died, 8 people received bodily injuries of different levels of severity.
Note: Everyone charged with a criminal offence shall be presumed innocent until proven guilty in a manner prescribed by the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia and found guilty by a court decision that has entered into legal force.
