Criminal situation in the Republic of Armenia (May 21-22)
According to the operations reports of Police of the Republic of Armenia, 41 cases of crime were detected by officers of various police subdivisions in the territory of the republic from May 21 to May 22.
In particular, 12 cases of theft of personal property, 7 cases of infliction of bodily injuries, 1 case of destruction of property, 1 case of hooliganism, 6 cases of swindling, 4 cases of abuse of official power, 2 cases of squandering or embezzlment, 1 case of kidnapping, 2 cases of counterfeiting, 1 case of extortion, 2 cases of detection of narcotics, 2 cases of illegal felling of trees.
From earlier committed crimes 1 case of robbery, 1 case of theft of personal property, 1 case of residential burglary and 1 case of swindling have been solved, 2 cases of voluntary surrender of arms and ammunition has been registered.
Over the past 1 day, 10 road traffic accidents have been registered in the republic: 10 people got bodily injuries of varying levels of gravity.
Note: Everyone charged with a criminal offence shall be presumed innocent until proven guilty in a manner prescribed by the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia and found guilty by a court decision that has entered into legal force.
