Criminal situation in the Republic of Armenia (May 23-24)
According to the operations reports of Police of the Republic of Armenia, 35 cases of crime were detected by officers of various police subdivisions in the territory of the republic from May 23 to May 24.
In particular, 9 cases of infliction of bodily injuries, 9 cases of theft of personal property, 4 cases of swindling, 3 cases of detection of narcotics, 2 cases of kidnapping, 2 cases of squandering or embezzlment, 1 case of attempted murder, 1 case of extortion, 1 case of seizure of arms and ammunition, 1 case of tax evasion, 1 case of hooliganism and 1 case of abuse of official power.
From earlier committed crimes 1 case of infliction of bodily injuries, 1 case of theft of personal property, 1 case of burglary and 1 case of hooliganism have been solved, 5 cases of voluntary surrender of arms and ammunition have been registered.
Over the past 1 day, 7 road traffic accidents have been registered in the republic: 8 people got bodily injuries of varying levels of gravity.
Note: Everyone charged with a criminal offence shall be presumed innocent until proven guilty in a manner prescribed by the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia and found guilty by a court decision that has entered into legal force.
