Crime news report for the period from 6 to 9 August
According to the operations reports of Police of the Republic of Armenia, 133 cases of crime have been detected by officers of various police subdivisions in the territory of the republic from August 6 to August 9, 14 of which were earlier committed crimes.
In particular, 34 cases of personal theft, 21 cases of causing bodily harm, 7 cases of fraud, 5 cases of seizure of weapons and ammunition, 4 cases of battery, threats of murder and receiving illegal remuneration for a public servant who is not an official, 3 cases of murder, squandering or embezzlement, cybercrime and drug detection, 2 cases of robbery, burglary, car theft, illegal felling of trees, poaching, hooliganism, abuse of office, official forgery or official negligence and smuggling of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, their precursors, 1 case of kidnapping, deliberate destruction of property, counterfeiting, illegal or false entrepreneurial activity, violence against a representative of authorities, domestic violence, illegal separation of the child from the parents or substitution of the child, failure to implement or improper implementation of professional duties by medical and support personnel, illegal cultivation or raising of herbs prohibited for processing, containing narcotic, psychotropic or toxic substances, assistance in giving a bribe.
5 missing persons have been located, 11 wanted persons have been detained, 13 others turned themselves in to the Police.
5 cases of voluntary surrender of arms and ammunition have been registered.
From earlier committed crimes, 11 cases of personal theft, 1 case of attempted murder, banditry and fraud have been detected.
Over the past 3 days, 32 accidents have been registered in the Republic: 4 persons died, 43 people received bodily injuries of different levels of gravity.
Note: Everyone charged with a criminal offence shall be presumed innocent until proven guilty in a manner prescribed by the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia and found guilty by a court decision that has entered into legal force.
