Crime news report for the period from July 31 to August 3
According to the operations reports of Police of the Republic of Armenia, 139 cases of crime were detected by officers of various police subdivisions in the territory of the republic from July 31 to August 3, 5 of which were earlier committed crimes.
In particular, 33 cases of causing bodily harm, 24 cases of theft of personal property, 14 cases of fraud, 9 cases of detecting drugs, 6 cases of domestic violence and battery, 5 cases of death threats, 4 cases of squandering or embezzlement, 3 cases of seizure of weapons and ammunition, hooliganism and abuse of office, 2 cases of robbery, intentional damage to property, violence against a representative of authorities and threat of harm to health, 1 case of murder, kidnapping, extortion, theft of state and public property, cybercrime, bribery, illegal felling of trees, failure to implement or improper implementation of professional duties by medical and support personnel., illegal cultivation of prohibited plants containing narcotic drugs, assistance in prostitution, illegal seizure of a vehicle, smuggling of drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursors, false denunciation, illegal collection, storage, use or dissemination of information from personal or family life, violation of the inviolability of the home, illegal separation of a child from his parents or another person charged with the responsibility of raising and guarding a child or substituting a child.
1 missing person has been located, 5 wanted persons have been detected, 2 others turned themselves in to the Police.
5 cases of voluntary surrender of arms and ammunition have been registered.
From earlier committed crimes 3 cases of causing bodily injuries and 2 cases of theft of personal property have been solved.
Over the past 3 days, 42 accidents have been registered in the Republic: 4 persons died, 68 people received bodily injuries of different levels of gravity.
Note: Everyone charged with a criminal offence shall be presumed innocent until proven guilty in a manner prescribed by the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia and found guilty by a court decision that has entered into legal force.
