Crime news report for the period from 22 to 25 May
According to the operations reports of Police of the Republic of Armenia, 138 cases of crime were detected by officers of various police subdivisions in the territory of the republic from May 22 to May 25, 2 of which were earlier committed crimes.
In particular, 35 cases of personal injury, 21 cases of theft of personal property, 11 cases of fraud, 10 cases of domestic violence, 9 cases of abuse of authority, 6 cases of detecting drugs, 4 cases of theft of state or public property, battery and death threats, 3 cases of burglary, squandering or embezzlement, deliberate destruction of property and violence against a representative of authorities, 2 cases of kidnapping, seizure of weapons and ammunition, cybercrime, illegal tree felling and bribery, 1 case of robbery, terrorism, hooliganism, poaching, official forgery o official negligence, obstruction of the professional activities of a journalist, obstruction of the child’s communication with a parent or other close relative, sexual intercourse with a person under the age of 16, violation of the inviolability of the home, threats of murder and destruction of property.
3 missing persons have been located, 8 wanted persons have been detained, 5 others turned themselves in to the Police, 7 cases of voluntary surrender of arms and ammunition have been registered.
From earlier committed crimes 1 case of theft of personal property and infliction of bodily injuries have been solved.
Over the past 3 days, 29 accidents have been registered in the Republic: 3 persons died, 39 people received bodily injuries of different levels of gravity.
Note: Everyone charged with a criminal offence shall be presumed innocent until proven guilty in a manner prescribed by the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia and found guilty by a court decision that has entered into legal force.
