Armenian police officers detain young man wanted by Russian law enforcement bodies for kidnapping and murder
Thanks to the operational intelligence measures taken by officers from the General Department on combating organized crime of Police of the Republic of Armenia, Rustam Stepanyan, DOB 1988, was detained on Wednesday, April 13.
The young man had been declared internationally wanted by Russian law enforcement bodies on charges of kidnapping and murder.
The initiator of the intelligence has been notified of Stepanyan's detection.
Note: Everyone charged with a criminal offence shall be presumed innocent until proven guilty in a manner prescribed by the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia and found guilty by a court decision that has entered into legal force.
