Armenian Police detain 32-year-old man wanted in the Islamic Republic of Iran
As a result of the operative-search measures of the officers of the General Department of Criminal Police and employees of the Criminal Investigation Unit of Arabkir division of the RA Police, 32-year-old Ali S. was detained in Vagharshyan Street,Yerevan, on November 5. The young man had been wanted by the Interpol of the Islamic Republic of Iran on charges of fraud since September 6.
Custody has been selected as a measure of restraint.
The Department of Mutual Legal Assistance of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia has been informed about Ali S.’s detention.
Note: Everyone charged with a criminal offence shall be presumed innocent until proven guilty in a manner prescribed by the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia and found guilty by a court decision that has entered into legal force.
