Statement of Police of the Republic of Armenia

25.06.2015 21:04 Advertisements & Notices

We would hereby like to inform you that in recent days more and more teens have partaken in the assembly taking place on Baghramyan street, Yerevan.
Juvenile curiosity and adventurism are understandable, but possible dangers should by no means be neglected.
Due to his/her age-related features, a teenager is unlikely to adequately evaluate the situation, changes of circumstances, assembly participants’ actions and their consequences.
Moreover, there may be ill-minded persons around, who will take advantage of the nonstandard situation, irregular movement of people and the darkness, and cause a damage to children.
In such situations, concern about children’s safety is natural and necessary.
In view of the aforesaid, we call on parents to pay increased attention to their children, not to leave them unsupervised and keep them from participating in the rallies unaccompanied by adults.
We call on the assembly organizers and participants to constantly keep an eye on teenagers, who are left without parental supervision while being at the assembly venue; watch over their behavior and movements and immediately report all suspicious situations to Police officers.
Ensuring children’s safety is our common task.
