Armenian Police captures Georgian fugitive wanted by Russia after 7 years on the run
As a result of measures taken by officers of Ashotsk division of the RA Police, 57-year-old Georgian citizen Tamaz Kabulia was detained at the Bavra checkpoint on July 23 at 8.25 pm. The foreigner had been wanted by law-enforcement bodies of Moscow on charges of Article 166 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Forced theft of the vehicle) since May 11, 2012.
The initiator of the intelligence has been notified of Tamaz K.’s detection.
Note: Everyone charged with a criminal offence shall be presumed innocent until proven guilty in a manner prescribed by the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia and found guilty by a court decision that has entered into legal force.
