During the press conference held in the Police of the Republic of Armenia, the police subdivisions' work carried out in the pre-election period and on the Election day was represented (VIDEO)

On February 19 journalists' meeting with the members of the operative headquarters established within the central apparatus of the police of the Rеpublic of Armenia with the purpose of maintaining appropriate public order and ensuring normal course of the presidential elections, took place in the Police of the Republic of Armenia.
The meeting was opened by the Head of the Operative Headquarters, the 1st Deputy Chief of the Police, Police Major General Hunan Poghosyan.
The deputy chief of the police, Police Major General Artur Osikyan represented the work carried out towards clarifying voters' lists.
The head of the police headquarters, police Major General Vardan Eghiazaryan touched upon the transgressions recorded in the pre-election period and the process of their solution.
The head of the Legal department of the Police, Police Colonel Tatul Petrosyan promulgated the statistics of the electoral violations recorded on February 18, and touched upon the measures aimed at their solution.
Hunan Poghosyan noted that in recent days, especially, on February 18, information about electoral violations has been circulating in media and on social networks intensively enough. The police promptly reacted to the alarm calls and the inspections showed that those are generally results of rumor propagation and didn't contain either facts or concrete data, and in a number of cases, people who had made such reports just refused to provide probative materials or otherwise render assistance to the law enforcement agencies. Audio and video materials probating that fact were introduced to the journalists.
Hunan Poghosyan assured that the police will be consistent in solving the electoral violations recorded in the pre-election period and on the Election day, as well as in making the transgressors liable, and the society will periodically be informed of the work implemented in that sphere.
By the end of the meeting exhaustive answers were given to all the journalists' questions.
