Crime news report for the period from 30 October to 1 November
According to the operations reports of Police of the Republic of Armenia, 144 cases of crime have been detected by officers of various police subdivisions in the territory of the republic from 29 October to 1 November, 11 of which were earlier committed crimes.
In particular, 24 cases of personal theft, 18 cases of drug detection, 16 cases of fraud, 8 cases of causing bodily harm, 7 cases of seizure of weapons and ammunition, 6 cases of hooliganism, abuse of office, domestic violence and carrying cold weapons, 3 cases of kidnapping, tax evasion, illegal felling of trees, threats of murder and forgery of documents, 2 cases of extortion, deliberate destruction of property, cybercrime and failure to implement or improper implementation of professional duties by medical and support personnel, which caused through negligence the patient’s death, 1 case of murder, robbery, illegal or false entrepreneurial activity, violence against a representative of authorities, obstruction of a meeting between a child and a parent or other close relative, the continuation of the unauthorized seizure of land plots that are state property or communal property, non-elimination of its consequences, as well as the non-stop of unauthorized construction of buildings, structures and non-liquidation of illegal structures, arbitrariness, coercion to participate in election or referendum campaigns, to refuse to participate in election or referendum campaigns, breach of labor protection rules, grave insult and committing lecherous actions.
2 missing persons have been detected, 14 wanted persons have been detained, 10 others turned themselves in to the Police.
7 cases of voluntary surrender of arms and ammunition have been registered.
From earlier committed crimes 8 cases of personal theft, 2 cases of causing bodily injuries and 1 case of illegal felling of trees have been detected.
Over the past 3 days, 42 accidents have been registered in the Republic: 7 persons died, 66 people received bodily injuries of different levels of gravity.
Note: Everyone charged with a criminal offence shall be presumed innocent until proven guilty in a manner prescribed by the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia and found guilty by a court decision that has entered into legal force.
