Crime news report for the period from 9 to 12 July
According to the operations reports of Police of the Republic of Armenia, 148 cases of crime have been detected by officers of various police subdivisions in the territory of the republic from July 9 to July 12, 8 of which were earlier committed crimes.
In particular, 34 cases of personal theft, 29 cases of causing bodily harm, 11 cases of fraud, 10 cases of falsification of election or voting results, 7 cases of drug detection and domestic violence, 5 cases of seizure of weapons and ammunition, 4 cases of battery, 3 cases related to violations at elections and smuggling of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and (or) their precursors, 2 cases of kidnapping, hooliganism, tax evasion, illegal felling of trees, abuse of office, threats of murder, squandering or embezzlement, failure to implement or improper implementation of professional duties by medical and support personnel which caused through negligence the patient’s death, 1 case of robbery, theft of state or public property, car theft, counterfeiting, bribery, violence against a representative of authorities, drug trafficking, forgery of documents, illegal actions in relation to property subject to confiscation, damage to historical and cultural monuments, lecherous actions against a person under 16 years of age.
2 missing persons have been located, 9 wanted persons have been detained, 10 others turned themselves in to the Police.
6 cases of voluntary surrender of arms and ammunition have been registered.
From earlier committed crimes, 4 cases of personal theft and 1 case of causing bodily injuries, banditry, theft of state or public property and robbery have been detected.
Over the past 3 days, 44 accidents have been registered in the Republic: 2 persons died, 73 people received bodily injuries of different levels of gravity.
Note: Everyone charged with a criminal offence shall be presumed innocent until proven guilty in a manner prescribed by the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia and found guilty by a court decision that has entered into legal force.
