The criminal situation in the Republic of Armenia (February 15-18)
According to the operations reports of Police of the Republic of Armenia, 121 cases of crime were detected by officers of various police subdivisions in the territory of the republic from February 15 to February 18.
In particular, 38 cases of theft of personal property, 25 cases of infliction of bodily injuries, 12 cases of fraud, 11 cases of drug detection, 6 cases of battery, 4 cases of death threats, 3 cases of illegal felling of trees, 2 cases of abduction of a person, violence against a representative of the authorities, sexual intercourse with a person under the age of 16, 1 case of rape or attempted rape, burglary, extortion, squandering or embezzlement, abuse of official authority, intentional infliction of damage to property, tax evasion, vehicle theft, hooliganism, bribery, violation of suffrage, voting more than once or instead of another person, hindering the implementation of free will of the voter and concealing a crime.
9 wanted persons have been detected, two others surrendered themseves to the Police, 1 missing person has been found, 9 cases of voluntary surrender of arms and ammunition have been registered.
From earlier committed crimes 8 cases of theft of personal property, 4 cases of burglary and 1 case of infliction of bodily injuries have been solved.
Over the past 3 days, 26 accidents have been registered in the Republic: 1 person died, 31 people received bodily injuries of different levels of severity.
Note: Everyone charged with a criminal offence shall be presumed innocent until proven guilty in a manner prescribed by the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia and found guilty by a court decision that has entered into legal force.
