House owner found burnt to death

At 11:20 on October 20 Gavar police division received a report from hospital informing that Janik Shahrikyan’s, DOB 1931, house burnt down in Artsvaqar quarter, Gavar town. The old man was burnt to death in his own house.
J. Shahrikyan’s grandson told the police officers who had arrived at the scene that his dad was suffocated by the smoke from his own cigarette. Suffering different degrees of burns, the old man was burnt to death in his own flat.
Forensic and medical examination has been assigned.
Investigation is underway.
