Fatal car accident on Yerevan-Ijevan highway

At 17:30 on December 3 a «GAZ-3110» model automobile broke down on the 58-th km of Yerevan-Ijevan highway. And while the driver together with his father and brother were trying to push the car out of the carriageway, the driver of a “GAZ-322132” model microbus moving towards Ijevan, suddenly lost the control of his car on ice road and ran into the rear end of the «GAZ-3110», as a result of which the driver's father Hayk Gyurjoyan, DOB 1945, deceased on the spot and his brother was hospitalized with bodily injuries.
In connection with this fact the Investigation department initiated a criminal case under the Republic of Armenia Criminal Code, article 242, parts 1 and 2.
Preliminary investigation is underway.
