Criminal situation in the Republic of Armenia (June 29 – July 2)
According to the operations reports of Police of the Republic of Armenia, 84 cases of crime were detected by officers of various police subdivisions in the territory of the republic from June 29 to July 2.
In particular, 31 cases of infliction of bodily injuries, 15 cases of swindling, 12 cases of theft of personal property, 4 cases of squandering or embezzlement, 4 cases of detection of narcotics, 3 cases of hooliganism, 2 cases of intentional destruction of property, 2 cases of seizure of arms and ammunition and 2 cases of illegal logging, 2 case of kidnapping, 1 case of rape or attempted rape, 1 case of tax evasion, 1 case of counterfeiting, 1 case of abuse of official auhority, 1 case of official forgery or official negligence, 1 case of use of violence againt a reresentative of authority.
From earlier committed crimes 2 cases of theft of personal property, 2 cases of infliction of bodily injuries, 1 case of illegal logging have been detected, 4 cases of voluntary surrender of arms and ammunition have been registered.
Over the past 3 days, 33 road traffic accidents have been registered in the republic: 6 persons died, 66 people got bodily injuries of varying levels of gravity.
Note: Everyone charged with a criminal offence shall be presumed innocent until proven guilty in a manner prescribed by the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia and found guilty by a court decision that has entered into legal force.
