Foreign fugitive detained at Meghri BCP after 5-year hunt

On Thursday December 18 at 05:30 a.m. foreign citizen Esmali M., DOB 1983, was detained in the vicinity of Meghri BCP following special measures taken by officers from Meghri  division of the RA Police alongside the soldiers of the Russian border troops in Meghri. The detainee had been wanted under the RA Criminal Code, article 268, part 1 /illicit traffic in narcotic drugs or psychotropic substances without the purpose of sale/ since April 5, 2009.
