22.03.2019 17:25 Reception

On Friday, March 22, RA Police Chief Valery Osipyan received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to the Republic of Armenia Mohammed Al Zaabi.
Welcoming the guest, Valery Osipyan highlighted the importance of the high-level relations between the two countries, noting that the result is the cooperation in various spheres, including law enforcement cooperation.
The Chief of the Police stated that the law enforcement agencies of the two countries mainly cooperate within the framework of the fight against human trafficking, illegal drug trade, and terrorism. An important and effective collaboration has also been established between Interpol national central bureaus, as a result of which internationally wanted persons are allocated and last year a wanted person was also extradited to the United Arab Emirates.
Mohammed Al Zaabi thanked for the warm reception and expressed readiness to deepen cooperation.
During the meeting, the reforms ongoing in the Police of Armenia were discussed and new spheres of cooperation between the two countries’ law enforcement agencies were outlined.
The two sides also discussed other issues of mutual interest.
