The wanted person by Austrian law enforcement was located at the Bagratashen border crossing point
As a result of operational and intelligence measures carried out by the officers of the Community Police Department of Noyemberyan, on September 5 a 42-year-old foreign national was transferred from the Bagratashen Border Control Department to the Noyemberyan Department. He had been internationally wanted since August 29 on charges of theft by Austrian law enforcement authorities. Arrest was selected as the measure of restraint.
The discovery was reported to the National Central Bureau of Interpol in Armenia and to the Prosecutor’s Office.
Note: Everyone charged with a criminal offence shall be presumed innocent until proven guilty in a manner prescribed by the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia and found guilty by a court decision that has entered into legal force.
