The so-called "thief in law" arrested: the fight of the Police against criminal subculture

14.08.2020 12:36 Other crimes

As part of an active fight against the criminal subculture, in order to eradicate such manifestations in society, the General Department of Criminal Police obtained operational information about the leadership of a group bearing a criminal subculture by persons with the highest status in the criminal hierarchy, and about the participation of various persons in such a group.
It is reported that in May, a man turned to a person with the highest status in the criminal hierarchy, the so-called “thief in law”, to get his debt from a person in a penal institution. This "thief in law" instructed a member of the group he leads, bearing a criminal subculture, to resolve the issue together with the prisoner having the highest reputation among his inmates in the penitentiary institution. The latter, taking advantage of his higher status in the criminal hierarchy in this penitentiary institution, undertook execution of the order of the “thief in law” involving members of the group headed by him, bearing a criminal subculture, and headed by him, taking effective measures for this.
In connection with this fact, a criminal case was initiated in the General Department of Criminal Police, which was sent to the Investigative Committee. As a result of operational-search measures and investigative actions carried out jointly with the employees of the Investigative Committee and the Prosecutor General's Office, several pieces of information essential for the criminal case have been established. Searches were carried out, items related to the criminal case were seized. The so-called "thief in law" and a member of the group he leads were arrested.
