Arabkir police officers detain a man wanted in Belgium for participation in a criminal group, legalization of proceeds of criminal activity, illicit traffic in narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances
On Wednesday, July 11 at 3.30 p.m. citizen of the Kingdom of Belgium Hayk S., DOB 1983, was detained at 15 Kievyan Street in Yerevan following operational-search measures taken by the employees of the Arabkir Police division. Hayk S. had been wanted by the NCB of Interpol in the Kingdom of Belgium on charges of part 1 of Article 2bis, paragraphs 3b, 4b, 4 and 6 of the Belgian criminal law, as well as articles 324bis, 324ter and 505 of the Criminal Code of Belgium (participation in a criminal group,Legalization of Proceeds of Criminal Activity, Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances) since July 11.
Hayk S. was taken to the place of detention of arrested persons at the Yerevan City Police Department.
The Interpol NCB in Armenia and the Prosecutor General's Office of Armenia have been informed about the detention of Hayk S.
Note: Everyone charged with a criminal offence shall be presumed innocent until proven guilty in a manner prescribed by the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia and found guilty by a court decision that has entered into legal force.
